The 1st jam of the first '97 "Mike's" is actually less funk-infused than many Fall '96 versions, and is straightforward but fairly intense.
The serene and soothing 2nd jam portends the ambient sounds that would emerge in '98 and '99, and has a melodic feel akin to "Blue Bayou."
